Now Hiring Speech Language Pathologist for Nor-Lea Hospital in Lovington, New Mexico

Client: Nor-Lea Hospital
Location: Lovington, NM
Dates Coverage is Needed: ASAP  – ongoing (minimum 13 week contract)
Schedule/Shifts Times: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or per facility needs)
Call Requirements: None
Patient Volume:  8–12 patients per day on average

Patient Ages:

• All ages

Types of Cases:

• Speech and language disorders
• Dysphagia (swallowing disorders)
• Cognitive-communication impairments
• Voice disorders
• Neurological conditions (stroke, TBI, etc.)

Support Staff:

• Nursing staff
• Physicians  
• Rehabilitation team (PT/OT)
• Administrative support

Procedures Required:

• Speech and language evaluations
• Swallow evaluations (bedside and/or modified barium swallow if applicable)
• Development and implementation of treatment plans
• Ongoing therapy and reassessments

Type of Charting: 

• Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• NM State License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
