DAX Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Dental Hygienist to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) in McLaughlin, SD (possible support to Fort Yates, ND). This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential dental care to a diverse patient population while enjoying a consistent weekday schedule.

Job Details

• Dental Hygienist for McLaughlin, SD (satellite clinic) Fort Yates, ND as needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:45a – 4:15p
• Any state license accepted
• Start date: as soon as background is completed (anticipate mid April)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine dental hygiene procedures including cleanings and assessments
• Conduct Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) per treatment plans
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR system
• Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure quality care

Work Environment

• Supportive clinical team including Dentists, Dental Assistants, and Hygienists
• Patient population: All ages (majority adults)
• Mission-driven federal healthcare setting

Requirements

• Active Dental Hygienist license (any U.S. state accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to pass background check and credentialing (4–6 weeks)
• Maintain all continuing education requirements throughout assignment
• Local anesthesia certification not required, but preferred if licensed
